Fine Fibers and Friendly Service is our motto and that is exactly what you’ll find in our store. We have a good selection of Rowan yarns and patterns, Blue Sky Alpacas and several smaller yarn producing companies. You will also find a good source of inspiration among our many books and patterns. Our Knitting and Crochet classes will increase your repertoire and skill levels and enlarge your knitting friends circle.

News and Events

CHANGE of HOURS !

Please take note: our Summer Hours will be a little different. Usually the summer is somewhat slower and we have a little time to plan some changes, make improvements to the store and do some maintenance and planting around the house. So we are changing the hours a little.But the changes are small: We will open at 11 am, instead of 10.30 am. But on Saturday we will make up for that and open at 10 am. Visit the farmer's market first and then come to the knit shop. And a lot of people have done that in the past and were here earlier then 10.30 am

On Tuesdays, we will be closed during the day as usual, and in the evening we will be open from 5 to 7.30 pm for all those who can come to the store only after working hours.

Trip to Rome and Germany

It was a good trip. No major mishaps and that is good news. Traveling is exhausting, especially with the time changes. But all was good. I came across a yarn store in Rome by accident and liked their wares, but it was a very small store. 3 people in the store and it was crowded. It was very disappointing to find out, that the two other knitting stores in Rome were closed for good. But in Hamburg, Germany I had a wonderful surprise. Totally by accident, I found a wonderful knitting group. They are the "Hanseatic Knitters" on Ravelry. Do look them up. A number of them were knitting Marianne Isager's Patterns. And when I just went to the trade show last weekend I was able to meet Marianne there. What a delight! Some of her patterns are definitely on my "I need to knit this list".

There was also a good knitting store in Hamburg called "Purpur", which had great yarn and very nice employees with great knitting ideas. Finally, success.

MONDAY NIGHT KNITTING CIRCLE at Morning Cup and more on Race Street. (Across from the Courier Cafe.

6.30pm The Stitch and Bitch Knitters are coming to the Knitting Circle as well and we always have lots of fun knitting and eating. After that we will be regular and meet again on June 29th.
